 | | The licence for the third service, a digital-only service, will be allocated to TasTV Pty Ltd, a joint venture company owned by the two existing commercial television licensees in Tasmania (Southern Cross Television (TNT9) Pty Ltd and WIN Television TAS Pty Ltd). |
 | | The Broadcasting Services Act 1992 allows for the allocation, on application, of an additional commercial television licence to a joint-venture company that is jointly owned by the existing licensees in a two-station market, such as the Tasmanian television market. |
 | | Once the licence is allocated, the licensee is to commence the service within one year or within such a longer period as is notified by the ABA. |
