Of course the Taste of Cincinnati is the biggest and it was really good but we've enjoyed some of the smaller neighborhood ones too like The Taste of Colerain.
The first "Taste of.." that I'm aware of is Taste of Chicago which started sometime in the late 1970's I think.
Taste of Clayton (MO) is the first Sunday in June.

Allen and I went to the Taste of the Danforth festival this weekend in Toronto.
As the name implies, it's mostly about food, but there were also bands playing, rock climbing walls (as you can see in the distance) and all sorts of vendors out on the street.
Danforth is the Greek part of Toronto, so most of the festival is greek food and music.

I wasn’t there long, but the few moments I did experience of The Taste of the Danforth were certainly enough to last a while.
My friends and I walked along the Danforth trying to find another group of friends with whom we were meant to meet up, sample some food and then proceed to Spring Rolls restaurant on Yonge, away from the crowds.
I’m not sure if I’ll visit the Taste again next year - perhaps for the slightly more relaxing atmosphere of an actual sit-down meal in one of the participating restaurants.

During the Taste of the Danforth many of the restaurants along the route set-up tables offering their specialities cheap, and given the make-up of the neighbourhood the emphasis is on Greek food (though things are not by any means exclusively Greek, there were sushi places, an Indian restaurant, etc.).
In any event, if you like cheap Greek food, and can live with large crowds, I would strongly recommend a visit to the Taste of the Danforth, but at least this year it would appear that the only clams to be seen are not worth picketing (eating is a different matter...
Also, I would like to briefly draw everyone's attention to a song by the Irish Celtic-Pop band The Corrs (founded by Jim Corr along his sisters Andrea, Caroline, and Sharon) titled "Secret Life" off the album "All Forgiven Not Forgotten".
