 | | Last homeported in Pearl Harbor, HI, the TAUTOG was deactivated while still in commission on October 25, 1996, and placed in reserve, in commission, on November 1. |
 | | Officially decommissioned and stricken from the Navy list on March 31, 1997, the TAUTOG is currently in berthed at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Bremerton, Washington, awaiting her start in the Navy’s Nuclear Powered Ship and Submarine Recycling Program scheduled for October 1, 2004. |
