 | | DAVID HAWKER: Well, the real concern about this is that it was drawn to the attention of the committee by an employee of the Australian Tax Office who was prepared to put in a submission and have it made public to say that this is a concern of people working in the tax office. |
 | | KATE JORDAN: It would seem almost common sense that once a person has been issued a tax file number, if they are only going to be in the country for a short time, when they do leave, to have that number cancelled. |
