XBOX Exclusive.com: XBOX Reviews: Crazy Taxi 3: High Roller
Crazy Taxi 3: High Roller was released in July of 2002 for the Microsoft Xbox.
CT 3 also gives you the Small Apple level from Crazy Taxi 2, which is based on New York City.
CT 3 looks like a spruced up Dreamcast game, and that is simply inexcusable given the power of the Xbox; these graphics would have been good had the game been a launch title, but since it was released about eight months after launch, there is no excuse for the graphical qualms in the game.

Crazy Taxi 2 did more than just take the game to the tight streets of New York City, it cranked the challenge by increasing the number of passengers that could pile in to four and gave players the "Crazy Hop" to help them cut corners.
Inspired by the mini-games from Crazy Taxi 2, the challenges are laid out in a series so as to slowly test your driving skills from the basic use of the Crazy Hop, to complex challenges that require you to use combos and a mix of all skills.
I love The Offspring, but Crazy Taxi is a game that can really play their songs to death, and although with this title you also get songs from Bad Religion, Methods of Mayhem, Brian Setzer, and Citizen Bird, it would be nice to have the chance to flip over to your own mix.

Given that PS2 owners had their first, albeit somewhat bittersweet, taste of the series last year, it would make sense to release on that platform, but with the Xbox the audience is relatively fresh and other exclusives for that system have benefited from the raised hardware bar.
There's more to driving a crazy taxi, though, not the least of which is the option to fling your ride into the air on specially designed shocks and lift kits.
As hinted at above, part of the allure of being a taxi driver comes from the tips you can make, and people are very generous to a skilled driver.

 CrazyTaxi3
This makes Crazy Taxi 3 feel rushed which is a shame because delaying a bit could have made these technical flaws disappear, but that's the price we have to pay for gaming becoming a hit-driven mass-market pastime.
While it's not an entirely new experience, Crazy Taxi 3's gameplay is still solid and appealing retaining the almost flawless balance between freedom and tasks that made the other games so appealing.
Despite the problems, Crazy Taxi 3 is a good sequel, which retains the tight, responsive controls, addictive gameplay and style of it's predecessors.

Each taxi driver has their own personality, and as you take passengers to their destinations the driver reacts according to how you are driving.

Crazy Taxi 3: High Roller review for the XBOX
Crazy Taxi 3 is the next chapter in the Crazy Taxi saga, the epic plight of a disenchanted, downtrodden gang of extreme cabbies.
These proletariat pedal pushers are forced to bus the bourgeois back and forth to satisfy their fiendish fetish for danger and disaster.
Crazy Taxi 3 does very little to distinguish itself from its predecessors, which might be its point.

This is Crazy Taxi: The Director's Cut, but with the remixed courses and older mini-games unfortunately missing in action.
Fortunately for the on-duty cabbies, it seems everyone needs a ride to any of the dozens of landmarks across the town, whether it's a quick dash uphill to the helipad, or a weave through windy tarmac to the KFC for some gray processed slab meat.
The key to getting really, really good at Crazy Taxi is learning not to hit anything larger than a box, knowing where the expensive fares are located, and gobbling down Excedrin like it was candy to dull your head and hand pain.

The Armchair Empire - Xbox Reviews: Crazy Taxi 3: Highroller
Crazy Taxi 3: High Roller (CT3) is about as near an exact replica of the original arcade game with the addition of two other areas: Small Apple and Glitter Oasis.
The Crazy Taxi series has always been about picking up customers and taking them from point A to point B, taking available shortcuts to complete the task before time runs out.
Crazy Taxi 3: High Roller had the opportunity to add new features to the Crazy Taxi mix but instead relied on the tried and true formula of the previous games.

Once again a home exclusive, Crazy Taxi 3 looks to deliver more of the same frantic action that has garnered the series so much acclaim in the past.
You probably know that one of the basic rules of Crazy Taxi is to follow the arrow at the top of the screen to get to your fare's destination.
Thankfully, in Crazy Taxi 3 pressing the white button will toggle your arrow between the two modes, so you can use whichever one you like.

Crazy Taxi 3 controls and plays like the previous installments, which is good thing but also bad thing.
While the first two Crazy Taxi’s offered exciting and well though out cities to race through, Crazy Taxi 3 offers players Glitter Oasis, the new city which is generally void of any real excitement and feels as though no real thought went into its design.
The two cities that were actually created for the Dreamcast Crazy Taxi’s not surprisingly look like their Dreamcast counterparts, except that they run smoother and the West Coast city has been expanded a bit.

Crazy Taxi 3 might have seemed like an awesome, whatever-you-want driving game if only GTA3 and GTA: Vice City had not come along.
Crazy Taxi 3 does have nice graphics, as you drive through 3 cities that approximate San Francisco, Las Vegas and New York City.
At least if they were going to solely concentrate on taxi-like things, they could have put in more cities, or more taxis, or more missions, or something.

Crazy Taxi 3: High Roller Review
Basically, Crazi Taxi 3 was designed to ensure an arcadish feel, which is unwaveringly present throughout the entire game.
Three sizeable tracks are included in the game, along with a variety of characters and taxi cabs, each with their individual appearances and driving styles.
Which is the main reason why Crazy Taxi 3 often feels like you're playing an expansion pack, rather than a full-blown sequel.

While Crazy Taxi 3 is as much a joy to play as was the original Crazy Taxi, this latest Xbox only version, just doesn’t bring much more to the franchise.
The biggest complaint I have against this latest version of Crazy Taxi is that the graphics simply don’t live up to what Xboxers have come to expect from their console.
Overall Crazy Taxi 3 is an enjoyable, albeit all too familiar, ride.

Amazon.com: Taxi - The Complete Third Season: DVD: Carol Kane,Michael Zinberg,Richard Sakai,Harvey Miller,Will ...   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-04)
From the melancholy opening notes of the theme song, Taxi promised to be a different kind of sitcom, epitomized by the show's central character, Alex Reiger (Judd Hirsch, Ordinary People): down to earth and compassionate, with neuroses that smacked of real life and not the forced zaniness of too many television shows.
Taxi didn't always maintain a degree of realism--if you haven't seen it in a long time, you may be surprised by some of the cornier jokes and bits of slapstick--but at its best, the show managed to merge sadness and humor into rich and satisfying stories.
Taxi, in my opinion, is one of the best sitcoms of all time.

 Crazy Taxi 3 Review (Xbox)
Crazy Taxi is famous for its easy-to-pick-up basic controls but lesser-obvious tricks and stunts.
But that's the whole idea of the fun behind it: reaching your destination as fast as you possibly can and by any means necessary (and means, you have got!), all of that accomplished without any consideration for human life whatsoever.
The Source has found that the Xbox's S controller seems better suited than the original to perform the Crazy Taxi moves (especially the Drift, Dash and Limit Cut), and that's probably because it is a bit smaller in size, and also because of its buttons' shape and layout, which are more conventional.

Crazy Taxi manages to show it's face for the 3rd time on a video game console, and while some gamers may be crying "no, no more!" I beg to differ and ask that SEGA to "just bring it!"
