The journal is based at the Mathematics Department of the University of Montpellier 2 (France) and does not rely on any form of specific financial support.
The Annals of Mathematics was founded in 1884 by Ormond Stone of the University of Virginia, the journal was transferred in 1899 to Harvard University, and in 1911 to Princeton University.

In 1981 graduated from Tbilisi State University (Faculty of Biology: biochemistry class).
Besarion was fond of carving almost from his childhood, he stopped working on the dissertation in biochemistry, left the research work and in 1992 graduated from the Faculty of Arts, sculpture class, Tbilisi State University.
In March 2000 Besarion was a participant of Community Connections Program sponsored by the US Department of State bureau and organized by the Foundation for International Arts and Education, Bathesda, MD—working in different galleries.
