The same period saw the birth of Russian rock with the band Pojuschie Gitary who created a style called VIA and later released the first Russian rock opera, Orpheus and Eurydice.
Other rock bands of the era included Tcvety, Sinyaya Ptica and Golubiye Gitary.

Underground bands evolved during this time, including Pojuschie Gitary (the singing guitars).
This was the band that started the VIA movement, and were followed by Tcvety, Golubiye Gitary,Pyesnary and Sinyaya Ptica.
In the early 1970s, artists like Yuri Morozov invented a kind of Russian psychedelic rock, using elements of progressive rock as well.

In 1975 Pojuschie Gitary released the first Russian rock opera - "Orpheus And Eurydice" which was declared the most significant music event of the year.
Other bands of that kind were Golubiye Gitary (Blue Guitars), Sinyaya Ptica (Blue Bird), Tcvety (Flowers).
I should also mention the bands like Gaya or Kobza, less known but having recorded some really good records.

Around 1993 Tropillo used the SANTA label (numbering the same as ANTROP) and some LP's were "no label" - complete pirate pressings but again having the same numbering beginning with ATR or RAT.
Second significant label - SNC records was founded by Stas Namin, the leader of the band Tcvety (Flowers) that was very successful in the seventies.
Among SNC releases I can mention best albums of Uriah Heep, Black Sabbath, some Aquarium, DDT and Kalinov Most.
