His son, Miguel A. Maymon Camunas, born in 1912, became the sole proprietor of the Teatro Yaguez in 1954.

Many have incorrectly stated that the theatre was built in (A style of design that was popular in the 1920s and 1930s; marked by stylized forms and geometric designs adapted to mass production) art deco style, however, art deco developed only some twenty years after the theatre's construction.
In 1976, the (The executive and legislative and judicial branches of the federal government of the United States) U.S. government sent a (The 200th anniversary (or the celebration of it)) Bicentennial Commission to Puerto Rico, which declared the Teatro Yaguez a Historic Landmark.

Some of Moncho's first memories center around the silent Westerns and other American movies shown with Spanish subtitles at El Teatro Yaguez, which were accompanied by a musical group including piano, violin, flute, bass and trumpet.
This was his early exposure to forms of light classical music, played by the likes of Balbino Trinta, Fermin Guzmán, Juan Madera, and some of the finest "music-stand musicians" of Mayaguez.

A fines de febrero de 1996 se presentan con gran éxito por tres semanas en el café teatro Sylvia Rexach del centro de Bellas Artes de Puerto Rico y a petición popular llevan su espectáculo en abril de ese mismo año al teatro Yagüez de Mayagüez y en mayo al teatro La Perla de Ponce.
