		"Technical Ecstasy", while not quite up to the previous standards held by the band, is still fully worthy of five-stars (maybe the other albums were five and a half).
		The album was a departure for the band as it was their second album to be recorded in the US and the first to have artwork done by the legendary Hipgnosis(same company who did sleeves for Led Zeppelin, Genesis, Pink Floyd and many others).
		When i first listened to Technical Ecstasy many moons ago, i thought it sounded much more like a album that Ozzy would be doing solo a few years away then really a Black Sabbath album.

		All I Have to do is put this CD in and play it at the right moments, and let it rip.
		The next CD isn’t going to be much better than this one, but to be honest, I’ll Listen to Never Say Die over Technical Ecstasy any day of the week; even if it means listening to saxophone solos.

		Most people dismiss Technical Ecstasy as one of their weaker albums - the end of the Ozzy glory days - but it will always be special to me since it was my first introduction to these masters of metal.
		Many people find it self indulgent of these defunct bands, who are well past their prime, to reunite for that one last time in order to relive their glory days and make a few bucks.

		Technical Ecstasy, the second to last Black Sabbath album featuring the classic line-up of Osbourne, Iommi, Butler, and Ward, seems to have been sort of a sell-out.
		Perhaps Sabbath "sold out" because their previous album, Sabotage, had received the worst public reception of all of their recordings up to that point (failing to reach the top twenty).
		Hard to believe this is Sabbath with song titles like "Rock N Roll Doctor" and "It's Alright." The music takes a sharp turn as well.

		The final two albums - Technical Ecstasy and Never Say Die may carry the Black Sabbath title, but in reality it was all over.
		In fact Ozzy actually left just prior to Never Say Die, but did eventually come back for both the album and resultant tour, but was subsequently sacked by the rest of the band following a world tour.
		All in all, aside from a slackening off in the quality control department for the last two albums, this set of re-issues is damn near essential.

		Despite the impressive resume, the band was in a fragile position, with this seventh album potentially making or breaking their future.
		It’s not hard to see why — this album is drastically different from classics such as “Paranoid” and “Master Of Reality.” The dark, spooky cover art of the band’s past has been replaced with a strange and abstract modern piece, which most definitely caught some fans off-guard.
		The album isn’t terrible, in fact, it’s quite listenable despite being somewhat unimpressive, but it’s definitely a massive weak spot in the Ozzy-era SABBATH catalogue.
