Crete has an elongated shape - 260 km from east to west and 60 km at its widest, although the island is narrower at certain points, such as in the region close to Ierapetra where it has a width of only 12 km.
To the north Crete borders with the Sea of Crete (Greek: Κρητικό Πέλαγος), to the south it is bordered by the Libyan Sea (Greek: Λιβυκό Πέλαγος), to the west the Myrtoon Sea, to the east the Karpathion Sea.
Odysseas Elitis was born in Heraclion (Candia) on the island of Crete, November 2, 1911.

 Liaison Office - Technical University of Crete
The Liaison Office of Technical University of Crete was established on the initiative of the General Secretariat for Research and Technology of the Ministry of Development and is financed by the National Operational Program for Research and Technology (EPET II).
Its main objective is the promotion of the research activities and results that are developed at the Technical University of Crete, and plays the role of the interface between the university and enterprises.
The Technical University of Crete (TUC), which is the second autonomous Technical University in Greece, was established in 1977 and started to operate in 1984.

Note that even if you follow the described steps you will be unable yet to contact either the Kerberos or the AFS server since TUC's NOC blocks with its firewall these two machines from the outside.
