		Technische Hochschule (acronym TH) is, what an Institute of Technology (i.e.
		a university focusing on engineering sciences) used to be called in German speaking countries, before most of them changed their name to Technische Universität (acronym: TU) in the 1970s.
		This has to do with the fact, that in the Middle Ages, an educational institution was called a (medieval) university only if a certain classical canon of subjects was taught (including, of course, philosophy, medicine and theology).

	Technische Hochschule der Freien Stadt Danzig
		When Freie Stadt Danzig was established school changed its name to Technical High School of Free City of Danzig (Technische Hochschule der Freien Stadt Danzig).
		In years 1939 - 1941 the name of the school was changed into Danzig Technical High School (Technische Hochschule Danzig), and in 1941 - 1945 the name of Reich's Technical High School in Danzig (Reichshohschule Danzig) was used.
		In the context of Technical University history, it is very important to mention one of the staff member in Technische Hochschule and Nobel Prize laureate.

		Its full name is Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich, with ETHZ also being a common unofficial abbreviation.
		In 1909, the course program of the ETH was restructured to that of a real university, from its early, very schoolish agenda, and the ETH was granted the right to award doctorates.
		In 1911, it was given its current name, Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule.
