DJ C, performing tonight as Electro Organic Sound System, is lulling the evening to a close at the "Tricks and Beats" Halloween party, put on by Boston's leading advocates for the jungle/drum n bass scene: the Toneburst Collective.
He emphasizes electro organic as not just a name, but as the style and the philosophy behind the music.
Now, with write-ups in The Boston Phoenix and Mixmag-USA triumphantly emphasizing Toneburst's impact on establishing a local jungle scene amidst the supremacy of house, techno, alternative, and ska in Boston, it seems as if the artful presence of Jake's and others music is being overlooked.

Exiles #20 Review - Silver Bullet Comics
I also have some questions about the idea that the Exiles weren't exposed to the virus during the fight, as they didn't shy away from making direct contact with the creatures, and past stories involving the techno-organic virus have clearly shown that one simply couldn't make contact with an infected party with becoming infected oneself.
Still, I will concede that this is a new world and the merging with the Legacy Virus also makes it a new techno-organic virus, so I'll give Judd Winick some leeway in how he want to deliver this last idea.
We then see the Exiles escape into a safe zone that has been established in Las Vegas, as the city has been surrounded by disruption technology that keeps the human population inside safe.

 Aphex Twin: Drukqs Aversion.com Review
While the techno world’s long waited for the return of a staggering Aphex Twin album, Drukqs bears more resemblance to the scattered and inconsequential Nine Inch Nails double album, The Fragile (1999, Nothing), than the electronic revolution that’s supposedly going to deliver the world from the bonds of organic music.
James jumps from style to style without a second glance, going from scorching drill’n’bass to acid to out-of-place organic piano numbers in what, if Drukqs was a one of his sets as a DJ and not an album, could only be described as a train wreck.
While the album reflects on Aphex Twin’s twisting career track, with traces of everything from ambient house to jungle making appearances, it’s a shallow, haphazard set that, once and for all, may prove the point that pure techno should be relegated only to clubs.

M83: Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts: Pitchfork Review
Countless musicians have humanized electronic sounds by generating tones that feel warm or organic, but M83 have undertaken a different challenge: to convey beauty through the familiar, filtered buzz of the kind of cheap synthesizers usually found in techno and dance tracks.
For fifty-seven glorious minutes, its impossibly intricate tapestry of buzzing techno synthesizers, distorted electric guitars, cheesy drum machines, and subdued vocals generate a sense of bodily movement through a landscape of beauty, disappointment, glory, and decrepitude.
Building upon a foundation of fuzzed-out guitar, rich bass, synth strings, and a drum machine that sounds surprisingly like the acoustic drums of Loveless, the duo layers burbling techno synthesizers into complex rhythmic intersections as the song's vast backdrop slowly fades away.

Rooted in studio improvisations, the album's eleven tracks find his sleek stylings merged with Hodge's organic techno in three sessions recorded between 1999 and 2004 at Kroker's Berlin studio, the setting which inspired the group's name.
Tracks like “Siemensdamm” and “Ruhleben” sound much like Monolake's material—one could easily imagine the steely showers percolating throughout “Jessner Strasse” being credited to Robert Henke in a Blindfold Test, for example—though that doesn't greatly surprise given the musicians' shared obsession with music software and dub-techno styles.
“Siemensdamm” follows, reminiscent of Monolake in its sleek sheen and focus on rich, supple detailing.

Warlock (New Mutants) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Warlock is a member of the alien Technarchy, a race of mechanical organisms that survive by infecting living creatures with the "techno-organic" transmode virus, before draining the life energy ("lifeglow") of the infected organism.
During his adventures, Warlock was joined by a young girl named Hope who he had unwittingly infected with the Techo-organic virus along with her pet monkey and a novice psychic named Psimon.
Warlock served as a member of the original New Mutants for most of that group's existence, and become a close friend of his teammate Doug Ramsey, alias Cypher, until Doug's death at the hands of the Ani-Mator.

The posthuman condition is still only a potential, since fully integrated, first-order cyborgs (the organic platform and technological superstructure are completely interdependent) are still on the cultural horizon, and virtual consciousness is at best an entertaining speculation.
The posthuman model that seems to be developing is McLuhanesque--that is, the techno-organic interface should enhance the body from the fluctuating degree zero of everyday normalization.
In this phase of posthuman development, the will to purity, explicit in the spectacle of anxiety, manifests itself in two significant forms: First is the purification of the pancapitalist cycle of waking everyday life.
