		Tecuci has a large transit trade in grain, timber, cattle and horses, on their way from northern and eastern Moldavia to the Danubian ports.
		The neighbourhood of Tecuci was the scene of a fierce battle in 1476 between Stephen the Great and the Turks.

		Gheorghe Tecuci, professor of computer science, is the 2005 winner of the School of Information Technology and Engineering's (IT&E) Outstanding Research Faculty Award.

		After severel trials lost by the polish in Tecuci, Galati and Bacau, the sentence who recognised the suspespension of the right to vote for polish people (who owned 90% of the factory) remained final.
		The polish say that the leaders of the syndicate used the workers as a mass for manouver and pressure for the support of the interests of the old administrators, Mosescu and Placinta.
		One thing is clear: the signal for the foreign investors is one dissapointing, the situtaion in Tecuci being as critical as the ones in Tepro from Iasi ori in the Syderurgical Combinate in Resita.

		Gheorghe Tecuci is Professor of Computer Science in the School of Information Technology and Engineering at George Mason University and Director of the Learning Agents Laboratory.
		These contributions have led to the development of a new approach to building intelligent agents that is based on three types of synergism: the synergism between different learning methods employed by the agent; the synergism between teaching and learning; and the synergism between a user and his/her intelligent assistant in solving problems in cooperation.

		The completion of the electrification works on Tecuci- Barbosi section will allow the increase of the speed from 100 km/h up to 160 km/h, a very important element for this line that has a quite intense traffic.

	The history of Railways
		On October 19th, 1869, after the official inauguration, the railway was used for passenger's transport, under the leadership of the Frenchman Dubois.
		Strousberg's Concession In September 1866, the Romanian Parliament voted the law of the concession for the construction of Varciorova-Bucuresti-Buzau-Braila-Galati- Tecuci- Roman and Tecuci-Barlad railways, with a total length of 915 km, to a German syndicate led by doctor Strousberg.
		The concession was given for 90 years, the cost of the construction being around 270 000 golden francs/km.
