Ted Strickland (born August 4, 1941, in Lucasville, Ohio) is an American politician of the Democratic party who currently serves as a U.S. representative for the sixth congressional district of Ohio.
Strickland was one of nine children of a steelworker, born in Lucasville, Ohio.
Strickland worked as a clinical psychologist at the maximum security prison at Lucasville, Ohio, was an administrator at a Methodist childrens' home, and was a professor of psychology at Shawnee State University (Portsmouth, Ohio).
