Teki Dervishi, a prominent Albanian writer was executed by Serbian Police today in Prishtina according to Zeri i Kombit, a radio station based on phone conversations from Kosova.

Dervishi persuaded Xhevdet Mazreka, a Kosovo travel agency owner who moved to Zurich in 1986, to put up the money for his newspaper, which now claims a staff of 20 in Pristina, the provincial capital, as well as correspondents in most Kosovo municipalities.
In addition to its readers in Kosovo, the paper claims a daily circulation of 30,000 expatriates in Europe and the United States, giving it a large profile among a group of people that traditionally has been more radical than Kosovo's resident population.

One of the lawyers appearing for the Albanian defendants, Mustafa Radonjici, told the court today that he and another lawyer, Teki Bosko, were last night detained by police and their documents checked.
Radonjici demanded that they be given protection by the court and that the Ministry of Justice urge police to desist from harassing lawyers defending the Albanians.
