		In short, Tekken 5 might not be a total reinvention of the series, but considering just how well it plays now, if Tekken had been rebuilt from the ground up it would likely have been a huge mistake.
		The fighting in Tekken 5 is some of the best fighting available in 3D or 2D, and its multiple levels of depth give beginners enough flashy moves to quickly feel comfortable playing it, while intermediate and expert players can dig deeper and deeper to find more interesting (and damaging) techniques.

		Another fact which is easily seen is that both Tekken & MK are probably to of the best looking fighters in the history of the fighting genre next to SC - so in those respects the games are extremelty even.
		First obvious difference tekken is based more in the real world although its physics at times are far fetched it hold must closer to a non fictional world, MK on the other hand is no holds barred.
		Tekken doesnt have great levels although they look gorgeous they are not interactive (accept for a few items that can be destroyed - statues, poles, phone booths - MK now has fully interactive levels: multi layered, destroyable and interactive for fatalities.

		Of course it is no DOA graphically(what is?), but it does seem to be an improvement over Tekken 4 and Tekken Tag which is saying a mouthful considering that they were both good looking games for PS2.
