  University Telephone Switch Move/Building Connection Status
Preparation for the move of the telephone switch began several months ago with the transfer of critical services and services that could be isolated from the physical switch move.
The switching center is scheduled to be fully functional in its new location by 8:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 23, 2005.
All telephone service, including coin phones, in a building whose connection to the new switching center has not been completed will be out of service beginning 6:00 p.m.

Wireless telephone companies are not required to provide equal access, and generally choose a preferred telephone company for their subscribers.
If the person answering the telephone says “yes” to any of the surveyor’s questions, the answers may be taped and used later as verification of authorization to switch preferred telephone companies.
Call your preferred telephone company to inform it of the slam, and tell it that you want to be reinstated to the same calling plan you had before the slam.
