Teletoon is extremely responsive, and in terms of serving their audience, have addressed and built upon much of the input they've received from viewers over the years.
Teletoon, specifically their late night Detour block, is like the dictionary definition of those who have to navigate through this pointless tango.
Since Teletoon licensed Family Guy (several months before CN did to boot), they have taken a cue from Adult Swim in the US by using it along with Futurama as a ratings cherry-picker, all the mean while trying to justify their existence by producing third-rate, repugnant garbage like Bromwell High and Sons of Butcher.

Teletoon had a slight adjustment made to their contract; the station's "peak hours", which they have to air 50% of their daily amount of Canadian Content, were changed from 6pm-12am to 3pm-10pm.
A lot of the reason Teletoon claims a lack of demand for anime is because the anime fan base in Canada, itself, just isn't all that vocal.
Teletoon would more likely show interest in a show which has had its English language production done in Canada, thereby allowing it to score some CanCon points.

Teletoon has struck a series of deals that will see its shows and brand carried on video-on-demand and wireless, starting with the Shaw and Rogers cable systems.
Teletoon says its Shaw deal, which also includes Caillou, Gerald McBoing Boing and other programs for preschool- and school-aged kids, will expand to 20 bundles by the end of July.
Teletoon has also agreed to provide some of the same cartoons to Telus Mobile TV starting in May, and has created two new positions among its executive ranks to work with new technologies.
