You can salmon fish the river from Main Street in Telkwa, a forestry and agriculture village on the TransCanada Yellowhead (hwy 16).
The town's name is Wet'sewet'en for "where the waters meet", Telkwa being at the junction of the Telkwa and Bulkley Rivers.
There are many heritage buildings in the town to take you back to the turn of the century, when the area first became settled for agriculture and later became the economic centre of the valley.

Another report came from residents in Telkwa, a husband and wife were driving along the Telkwa High Road when they came across a large military truck, they had to pull way off the road to let this vehicle pass by.

The next largest town is Smithers which is approx: 15 miles west from Telkwa, B.C. and has an airport for the surrounding areas.
I received a telephone call today (July 30, 2002) from a reporter (Nicole Fitzgerald) at the Smithers Interior Newspaper, Smithers, British Columbia asking if I had received a sighting reports from any of the residents from the Telkwa, B.C. area.

 Huge Bright UFO Slowly Flies Around Northern BC Farm
Total UFO reports for Northern British Columbia is now up to 73 reported sightings to me alone.
Their farm sits at an elevation of 530 meters and has a wide open view of the Telkwa Mountain Range and Chicken Mountain which sits slightly lower and in front of the range.

I received a telephone call on July 30, 2002 from a reporter (Nicole Fitzgerald) at the Smithers Interior Newspaper, Smithers, British Columbia, asking if I had received sighting reports from any of the residents from the Telkwa, B.C. area.
She went on to give me a brief description of what one witness (Gordon Stewart - a farmer and resident of the Telkwa area) had told her he had seen at 10:45 p.m.

Is this reported sighting from Smithers, British Columbia a possible connection to the military?
From what all of the witnesses have told me, they figured that what they saw was going to crash into the ground, although no one had seen this take place.
In the next report I will be talking to the two witnesses from Quick, British Columbia.

One was the witness who watched an extremely bright light (a large mass) flying very slowly over their farm, and the sister of this gentleman who was the one who informed me of this event.
The witnesses who sent in the report for the area of Francois Lake, British Columbia watched the exactly same object on the same evening as did the Houston resident.
A resident from Telkwa, British Columbia was heading to work (graveyard shift) in Houston, B.C. at one of our local sawmills when he spotted, in his words.
