MORMON ORIGINS - JOSEPH SMITH - EARLY LDS HISTORICAL DOCUMENTS - MORMONISM
On the plat were marked numbers for 24 "temples," that were to be twenty-four buildings for the purpose of "houses of worship" and "schools." The twenty-four temples were divided into two groups, one set of twelve temples were for the high priesthood and the second group of twelve temples were for the lesser priesthood.
Lots numbered 15 through 22, that included where the temple had been planned, were eventually purchased and obtained by Granville Hedrick, president and trustee-in-trust for the Church of Christ, known as the Temple Lot church.
The outcome was that the RLDS church obtained judgment on the 2 1/2 acre temple lot.

The plaza of the Temple is very large, with a stylized map of the world on it.
A couple of things happened during the tours of the Temple and the Auditorium which bothered me. First, the tour guide at the Temple talked considerably about the symbol of the Community of Christ, a stylized lion, child, and lamb with the word Peace; he said one of the themes of the church is peace.

 3. Temple Ritual Altered - mormonikirkko - mormonit
In the "Temple Lot Case," a dispute over the property on which a temple was to be built, additional testimony was given concerning the ritual.
Later, however, a man who had been through the temple approximately 120 times heard that we were preparing to publish the ritual and felt that it was important that the most accurate account possible should be given to the world.
One would think that if the temples were protected by God and the current Mormon officials were really led by revelation, those who used deception to obtain tape recordings to expose the endowment ceremony would have encountered judgment from God or at least been thwarted in their nefarious plans to discredit the church.

NJJN - Neighbors present case against temple parking lot
Residents living near Temple Emanu-El in Westfield called their own planning and safety experts to rebut synagogue experts, continuing their case against a parking lot the synagogue wants to build adjacent to its current site.
At issue is whether the proposed lot at 750 E. Broad Street, which would add 85 spaces to the temple’s current 63-space lot, is appropriate in the residential neighborhood of half-million-dollar homes.
Synagogue officials say building the lot is necessary to reduce the number of congregants crossing busy Broad Street and walking on uneven and broken sidewalks or in the street after parking on side streets.
