Ten Years After - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ten Years After is a British blues rock band popular in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
In August, Ten Years After performed a breakthrough American appearance at Woodstock; their nearly ten-minute, furious-to-slow-to-furious rendition of "I'm Going Home" was featured in both the subsequent film and soundtrack album.
At this point in time, Ten Years After were in their heyday: at the beginning of their twelfth US tour, they played to a sold out Madison Square Garden of 20,000 fans.

New Order I was already following for several years before 1991, so that's a bit of a cheat, but everyone else I first heard about or started listening to that year, and they're all out right about now, in a bizarre confluence of dates that brings everything back without trying.
And now the band can look back on baggy with a wry smile, not to mention Britpop, riding both waves with stuff stolen from everyone else and somehow finding their own way as a result, a melange band that never is perfectly individual but somehow works.
Later years would take care of the revelations as well as the amusing realizations -- in an era where eight million neo-Krautrock bands can be found, comparing things to the early nineties is instructive.

For instance, if a players code were a 3 for a given year, he'd need to roll 1-3 to lose points, 4-8 to remain the same, 9-11 to gain points and 12 to both gain and lose points (for instance, he might gain an M and lose a Q).
