  Tenbury Wells - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Tenbury Wells is a small scenic market town in Worcestershire, England, lying on the south bank of the River Teme.
The name of the Railway station, which was on the line from Woofferton to Bewdley, was changed in 1912, in an attempt to publicise the mineral water being produced from the wells around the town.
Other notable structures in Tenbury include the parish church with a Norman tower, the part-Mediaeval bridge over the River Teme, linking Tenbury to Burford, Shropshire and the Round Market, where markets are still held on Tuesday and Friday mornings.

 Tenbury Mistletoe and Holly Auction
One of the best kept secrets of Britain's traditional calendar is the Mistletoe and Holly Auctions which take place at Tenbury Wells in north-west Worcestershire on the last Tuesday in November and the first two Tuesdays in December.
The auction, conducted by local agricultural auctioneers Brightwells at their Tenbury cattle market and auction yard, has taken place annually on the same site for some 150 years — until 2004, when the last auction was conducted on the old site before Brightwells surrendered their lease on the property.
The unfortunate Mr Craven managed to excite a passing old dear with his sprig of mistletoe and was grabbed and snogged with some determination for his pains.

Thomas Morris, well sinker, was instructed to remove the whole of the bricks, curls and ironwork from the old mineral well by the Swan Inn and covey the same to the garden adjoining the Crow Inn and use the same in or about the enlargement and complition of the new well.
In 1862 he published a book about a newly patented design for Horticulural Buildings and he used this principle for The Tenbury Spa replacing glass panels with those of sheet steel, It was erected on a pre-fabricated principle being one of the first in the country.
G Smith of Tenbury was chosen as the builder after his price of £945 was accepted.

The route diverged from what is now the Severn Valley Railway at Tenbury Junction, beyond Bewdley, crossed the River Severn, then headed into Wyre Forest.
