Teplice (Czech, German: Teplitz) is a city of the Czech Republic, in the Ústí nad Labem Region.
Teplice is situated in the plain of the Bílina river, which separates the Ore Mountains (Czech: Krušné Hory) from the Czech Central Mountains (Czech: České středohoří), and is a famous spa town.
Teplice figures in the history of Wallenstein, and is also interesting as the spot where the monarchs of Austria, Russia and Prussia first signed the triple alliance against Napoleon in 1813.

Starting in the mid 19th century, a sharp increase of brown coal mining took place in the entire Podkrušnohorské Valley, including the area between Teplice and Duchov.
The last significant step in the care for the Teplice thermal spring was the complex reconstruction of the Primary Hot Spring’s pumping station, which also includes partial reconstruction of the spring’s shaft and installation of highly effective pumping directly from the main thermal outflow crack.
