Yucatan Mayan Ruins Ek Balam Tourist Info
The peak of Ek Balam's development has been traced to the 700-1000 A.D. period, now designated the terminal classic.
Ek Balam may have been the nerve center for local agricultural output and management in pre-spanish times.
Archeological research thus far points to the rise of this site to prominence some time between 400 and 600 A.D., witch in the Mayan area is referred to as the early classic period.

At Copán, beneath over four-hundred years of later remodeling, a tomb for one of the ancient rulers has been discovered and the North Acropolis at Tikal appears to have been the site of numerous burials during the Terminal Pre-classic and Early Classic periods.
Most notably, the North Acropolis at Tikal seems to be the sum total of 1,500 years of architectural modifications.
Through observation of the numerous consistent elements and stylistic distinctions, remnants of Maya architecture have become an important key to understanding the evolution of their ancient civilization.

BODO skull, from Middle Awash in Ethiopia in sediments 600,000 years old (new Science article by Clark et al 1994) and associated with mix of Oldowan and Acheulian assemblages (note that this date is contemporary with "classic" Homo erectus from China...!).
Today: archaic Homo sapiens and the Late Acheulian and Terminal Acheulian in Africa-- transitions to the Middle Stone Age.
however, some of Acheulian does take advantage of large flakes in a way that heralds technological planning/skills of later periods: the Tachengit technique produced pre-formed cleavers from huge, trimmed cores.

Raunds prehistoric Project: 3. Aims and objectives
Cotton Henge was situated on the eastern valley side of the Nene River, overlooking the extensive Raunds complex of prehistoric monuments spanning its west - south-western quadrant of visibility.
The monument, consisting of two irregular and approximately concentric rings, did not conform to the classic notion of a henge monument - not possessing an entrance-way, and with a particularly slight outer ditch in proportion to its diameter of c 75m.
The monument was situated on an alignment with the Long Barrow at South Stanwick, and Cotton Henge (which it faced when viewed from the South-West terminal towards the open North-West end).

 NAP Skim View of:
Classic toxicity studies with NDGA were conducted in several species, and toxicity of NDGA was demonstrated over a range of doses; this is a common finding in toxicity studies using different animal species (Ashby, 2002)
Clinical trial data: Table B provides a summary of a small clinical trial that was conducted among 59 terminal cancer patients to examine the effect of NDGA and chaparral tea on tumor growth.
The literature shows that a preponderance of toxicities were associated with preparations other than tea; hepatotoxicity was not reported in a clinical trial of cancer patients drinking chaparral tea.
