Definition: terminal endpoint functional group   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-24)
terminal endpoint (TE) functional group: A functional group that includes functions broadly belonging to Layer 1 and higher layers of the CCITT Recommendation X.200 Reference Model.
(188) Note 1: The functions of a TE functional group are performed on various types of equipment, or combinations of equipment, such as digital telephones, data terminal equipment, and/or integrated work stations.
Note 2: Examples of TE functions are protocol-handling, maintenance, interface, and connection functions.

 FHA Group Publications
Our results expose a fundamental functional enrichment in regions of protein sequence space accessible by recombination and provide a framework for evaluating whether the relative rates of mutation and recombination observed in nature reflect the underlying imbalance in their effects on protein function.
Their biological functions, such as detoxification of xenobiotics and steroidogenesis, are based on the ability to catalyze the insertion of oxygen into a wide variety of compounds.
Functional mutations are expected to occur in 100% of the sequenced screened sample; neutral mutations are found in 50% on average, while deleterious mutations do not appear at all.

 ISDN
Functional groups may be combined into a single device which might, for example, hide the S/T demark points from the customer.
The functions between the U interface and the user may be in one device or several (NT-1, NT-2, TA/ terminal).
This model identifies a series of functional groupings of equipment and reference points where the critical functions must be performed to ensure communication between the groupings.

This suggests that the cellulolytic populations of the rumen are subject to lytic events that may impact on the ability of these bacteria to degrade plant fibre and on the nutrition of the animal.
It results in exchange of homologous functions, exchange of analogous but non-homologous functions as with the prophage integrases, and introduction of novel functions into the genome as with the morons.

Functional Description The method discussed here is similar to the multilink protocol described in ISO 7776 [4], but offers the additional ability to split and recombine packets, thereby reducing latency, and potentially increase the effective maximum receive unit (MRU).
By contrast, other LCP packets having control functions not associated with changing the defaults for the bundle itself are permitted.
Since the objective is to detect mismatches between endpoints erroneously assumed to be alike, mismatch on class alone is sufficient.

EMF Effects on Cellular Replication - EMF Science Review Symposia Theoretical Mechanisms and In Vitro Research Findings ...
The study of replication itself as an endpoint in experimental studies is, therefore, one of the critical factors scientists have evaluated in assessing potential effects of EMF on human health.
The group discussed the work by Liburdy and others in which EMF is reported to alter cell replication in a MCF-7 human breast cancer cell line when co-treated with melatonin or with tamoxifen.
The reports discussed by the group focused on cellular replication as an endpoint and these studies did not, as a rule, investigate whether there were concomitant alterations in hormones or cytokines known to regulate cell proliferation.

Configuring PuTTY   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-24)
Other terminals believe that the Backspace key should send ASCII code 127 (usually known as Control-?) so that it can be distinguished from Control-H. This option allows you to choose which code PuTTY generates when you press Backspace.
When this option is enabled, the contents of the terminal screen will be pushed into the scrollback when a server-side application clears the screen, so that your scrollback will contain a better record of what was on your screen in the past.
‘Group exchange’: with this method, instead of using a fixed group, PuTTY requests that the server suggest a group to use for key exchange; the server can avoid groups known to be weak, and possibly invent new ones over time, without any changes required to PuTTY's configuration.
