  Metal-Rules.com VOLUME I - Mental Terror Interview
But all three got some hurries in band- and school life, so the band, which was baptized as Mental Terror, remained on an idea level in the back of the head.
During the summer the band practiced quite infrequently, but the musical background of the band members guaranteed, that the songs were well in their heads.
Band is by no means commited religiously, politically etc., although healthy misanthropy lives in every Terrorist.

 PITCHFORK NY
And Terror isn't just a "band", but a force of nature: one that will not be ignored.
Terror's sound is brutal, stripped-down, uncompromising and as undeniably real as the hand-to-mouth, paycheck-to-paycheck existence that has birthed, nurtured and fueled so many important subcultures over the years, including this one.
There is no band in 2005 that more clearly defines the greater ethos of what "hardcore" truly means to its lifelong adherents than Terror.

Terror (band) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Terror, formed in 2000, is a hardcore band, (although many consider the group a "metalcore" band) from Los Angeles, California.
Before Terror, vocalist Scott Vogel was already an underground household name, singing for mid-90s Buffalo bands Slugfest, Despair, and Buried Alive.
Vogel is widely known in the scene not just for his tireless efforts to keep hardcore punk and metalcore "pure" and "fun," but for his tendency for bizarre and often hilarious on-stage banter, known colloquially as "Vogelisms".

The band’s current release, ’As the Palaces Burn’, is deadly concoction of blistering guitar riffs, throaty growls and rapid-fire drumming that relentlessly attacks the listener like a pit-bull on crack.
In a nutshell, ’Terror & Hubris’ is a first-rate introduction to Lamb of God’s brand of ’Pure American Metal.’ While there isn’t a ton of material to sift through, the quality of the concert footage and interviews is thoughtful, engrossing and informative.
The self-depreciating humor each band-member exudes is also living proof that you can make music that sounds like it was forged in the depths of hell and still find the time to unearth the same pair of shit-stained jeans that were ditched from a previous tour.

The major difference between a political activist and a political band is the music.
The Pittsburgh band has never had a problem whipping up the self-righteous political fervor on its previous albums, a tradition to which it sticks on this album.
Because of that, it’s easy to cut the band a little slack, when it strays into didactic rants at its own colleagues (“Death of a Nation”) or tilt at every punk’s favorite whipping boy, unnamed multinational corporations (“Tearing Down the Borders”).
