Terry Nation - Memorable TV Hall of Fame
Terry Nation is one of the most consistent writers of British genre television, having had a lasting impact on the development of science fiction and action-adventure programs.
More recently, Terry Nation shifted his focus onto American television, where he was a producer and writer for the first two seasons of MacGyver, an original and imaginative series dealing with a former Special Forces agent who solves crimes and battles evil through the use of resourceful engineering and tinkering tricks.
Nation continued to influence the development of the Daleks across a succession of story-lines and through two feature film spin-offs of the series, writing many of the Dalek scripts himself while serving as technical advisor on the others.

Survivors - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Terry Nation left after the first series to concentrate on other work and some critics feel that the direction of the programme suffered as a result.
Survivors was a British television programme created by Terry Nation and produced by the BBC from 1975 to 1977.
It concerned the plight of a group of people who had survived an accidently released plague that had killed nearly the entire population of the planet.

Terry Nation's crap, Dudley Simpson's crap, Barry Letts is crap - and all three are at their very worst here.
Witty of Terry Nation that, to still be writing the same clack a decade later.
Yeah, right - in a Nation script all she has to do is stand still and the baddies will soon come along and discuss their entire plan in front of her.

 Blake's 7 epilogue
The series creator Terry Nation died in late 1997 so impetus for any new series will have to come from elsewhere and knowing the BBC's attitude towards producing new SF on television and their attitudes towards making sure no-one else makes it, It will be a long time before anyone makes a serious attempt.
Terry Nation was slated to write the first 13 episodes with Chris Boucher, fresh from writing three Doctor Who stories (two of them very well recieved) hired as a script editor.
Terry Nation's three scripts are very Terry Nation with lots of action but Countdown actually offers us insights into Avon's character (how much was the writer and how much was the script editor is tough to call).

Yeah, Terry Nation did a story of interlinked stories, not one of which was worth ten minutes, let alone twenty-five.
The subject of mind control and possession is a striking one, and the idea of the Tardis crew having devices on their heads which they cannot see and being surrounded by hallucinations of which they have no awareness is intriguing.
With no coda and a reprise of episode one's model shot this one is over, Nation spewing his disregard for the audience all over the screen.

 Blakes 7 - Series Overview
The science fiction series Blake's 7 was created by Terry Nation, for the BBC and premiered 2nd January, 1978, running through till 1981.
Nation wrote the entire first series and many episodes for the second and third before he moved to California in 1979.
It was a tall order, but Nation's concept (which became more like Robin Hood than The Dirty Dozen) was tremendously popular and the final episode was watched by more than 9 million viewers.

The Alien Online - Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror News, Reviews, Articles and more...
Terry Nation, who died of emphysema in Los Angeles in 1997, owned the copyright on the Daleks, who appeared for the first time in the second Doctor Who story, 'The Mutants,' which screened between December 1963 and February 1964.
Negotiations between the BBC and the estate of the late Terry Nation have broken down irretrievably, and therefore the Daleks will not now appear in the new Doctor Who series currently being filmed.
The new series will be the poorer without them, and their absence will cast a long but oddly shaped shadow over the new episodes, which are due for release on BBC One in early 2005.

Daleks Are Go For New Dr Who Series
During the initial 28 year run of DR Who Terry Nation was always extremely protective of his creation, and appearances by the Daleks in the DR Who series became a rare occurrence in later years due to the fact that Terry Nation did not want his creations to be used on a whim.
The main bone of contention in the battle between the BBC and Terry Nation's estate was about the BBC wanting to update and the estate of the late Terry Nation wanting some input as to how the late writer's creation would be updated.
After much negotiation and many a hard fought battle between the BBC and the Estate of the late Terry Nation have finally come to an agreement that both side can live with in regards to the use of the most famous villains of Dr Who 'The Daleks'.

While there is a larger sense of fulfillment for the Abrahamic through the unity of many nations in the faith of Abraham, but there is also a fulfillment in the people who were the descendants of Ishmael and the one we usually think of the descendants of Isaac.
This idea that nations are primarily biological has been taken to extremes in conflicts like the Balkans crisis of the 1990s.

 Survivors
A to Z of TV Inspiration for Survivors came, according to series creator Terry Nation, from the realisation that he -in fact everyone in modern society, had become totally reliant on technology.
This was a deliberate ploy by Nation who was conscious that there were very few strong female leads on television at that time.
Another problem arose when actor Terry Scully, who played Vic, had a nervous breakdown during filming and had to be replaced by another actor.
