	Terry Sweeney - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Terry Sweeney (born March 23, 1960) is an American homosexual writer, comedian and actor.
		Sweeney, who is not related to fellow SNL alumni Julia Sweeney, had also been a writer of sketches for SNL during the early 1980s under producer Jean Doumanian prior to being hired as a member of the cast.
		Sweeney's major film credit was as the co-screenwriter for the film Shag, which was released in 1989.

		Stephen Sondheim's musical thriller Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street was filmed in 1982 before a live audience at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles during the national tour.
		Having seen other productions of Sweeney over the last decade, in many ways this TV production feels very stilted, filmed in a massive theatre for camera, but with hideous canned laughter and applause which set one's teeth on edge, and only serve to slow down the pace of the drama.
		If you must see a Sweeney on DVD at present, (and for those who are seeing the piece for the first time) the San Francisco live performance is a more exciting experience.
