Thank the lord for Test Match Special (TMS), there is something very soothing about listening to Henry Blofeld’s mellifluous tones as he describes play.
TMS is a very English institution, when you consider it Cricket is not naturally a radio medium; there are huge gaps in play and the nuances of the game actually lends it self to TV as the advent of slow motion really add to the watching experience.

My favourite way to watch Test cricket is live, sat in the Edgbaston pavilion, with a Sky headphone tuned to TMS.
For those of us who usually have to spend Test days at work, TMS is vital listening (even if you can only manage twenty minutes in your lunch hour), and an essential part of following cricket in England.
I once did a match report in a p*** take of Blowers and Co. and our umpire sent it to them.
