	The University of Texas Longhorn Band
		"The Eyes of Texas" is the official Alma Mater of the University of Texas.
		"Taps" is the official fight song of The University of Texas and was written by Colonel Walter S. Hunnicutt in collaboration with James E. King, then director of the Marlin High School Band.
		The song was a repetition of the words 'Farmers Fight' sung to the well known bugle call 'Taps' in the same slow tempo as the bugle call is used by the army for lights out at night.

		The Texas Flag can also be seen being marched down the Drag during the annual OU Torchlight Parade and hung from the President's Balcony for special events such as The UT Birthday Celebration each September, the Texas AandM Hex Rally, and every spring on March 2 to celebrate Texas Independence Day.

	Texas Boma Legislative Update
		In the suit, Texas BOMA and the other plaintiffs are challenging the constitutionality of a Texas statute that forces owners of office buildings and apartments to allow any telecommunications company to enter upon the owner’s property, install equipment, and string its cables and lines throughout the property, even over the property owner’s objection.
		Texas BOMA alleges that the statute constitutes an unconstitutional "taking" of property because it fails to set out a clearly defined means for compensating the property owner.

		Two of the Texas 11 sought refuge last week in Colorado, of all places, a state mired in its own dirty fight over a midnight gerrymander.
		The 11 Texas lawmakers, all Senate Democrats, fled the Lone Star State after Republican legislators tried to ram through a redistricting plan that would increase the number of Republicans sent to Washington from their state.
