	The Beaumont Enterprise - Despite late comeback, 'Catters lose in shootout
		The Wildcatters suffered a 4-3 loss to the Long Beach Ice Dogs after neither team scored in overtime, and they were outscored in the shootout by a 3-1 margin.
		Although the loss prevented Texas from moving into sole possession of first place in the South Division, the point gained in the standings for being tied at the end of regulation was good enough to pull even with Gwinnett for first place.

		Augusta knew they needed a momentum swing coming out in the third period, and were able to get just that with a pair of goals starting with Eric Johansson’s unassisted power play marker at the 2:51 mark of the period.
		An unusual bounce out of the corner found the puck in front of the Wildcatters’ net, and Johansson slammed the puck off the middle bar for the goal despite protests from Texas that the puck did not go in.
