To combine the building mass for the different functions with the spatial demarcations, the urban conservation area and the specific security, logistical and experiential requirements of the Courthouse, was like an urban Rubik’s Cube.
Between the Klokhuistoren near the Bavo and the Teylersmuseum, a new courtyard and public pedestrian route to the entrance of the Courthouse have been created.
Surrounding this courtyard are the Court, the public area and the office areas.
