 Naval Technology - De Zeven Provincien Class Air Defence and Command Frigate
Two Thales Naval Nederland Goalkeeper close-in weapon systems are installed, one on the raised deck in front of the main mast and one facing the stern on the raised deck overlooking the helicopter landing deck.
The frigates are fitted with the Thales Defence Sabre integrated electronic warfare system which includes a 0.5GHz to 18GHz electronic support measures (ESM) system and a 7.5GHz to 18GHz active phased-array electronic countermeasures (ECM) system.
The Air Defence and Command (LCF) frigates are being built at Royal Schelde's Flushing shipyard.

Recently, Thales-NL successfully tested the surveillance and fire control qualities of APAR on board of the new LCF frigate of the Royal Netherlands Navy 'De Zeven Provinciƫn' and on board of the new F124 class frigate of the German Navy, the 'Sachsen'.
IRSCAN is a passive, infrared search and track (IRST) system, capable of detecting and tracking air targets.
GOALKEEPER is still the most effective close-in weapon system available today, consisting of a search radar, a tracking radar and a 30mm Gatling gun with a firing rate of 4200 rounds per minute.

On 30 October, Thales Nederland B.V. and Elefsis Shipbuilding and Industrial Enterprises in Greece signed a contract for the mid-life modernization of four Combattante III fast attack craft of the Hellenic Navy.
Being the main subcontractor of Elefsis, Thales will be responsible for the total combat system integration and the delivery of new combat system equipment for the ships.
