		Stone Temple Pilots now seems to get more attention for the misadventures of frontman Scott Weiland than it does for its music, but this wasn’t always the case.
		The album’s 15 tracks touch upon all of the band’s hits while tossing in a previously unreleased tune as well as an acoustic rendition of Plush.
		These days, countless ensembles within the modern rock world are trying to accomplish the same feat, but their music, their passion, and even their lyrics are all woefully behind Stone Temple Pilots.

		The album is probably so fresh and brilliant, because of the fact that Scott was clean at the time and I think this did justice to the music.
		Possibly the last album from Stone Temple Pilots, 2001's "Shangri-La Dee Da" is undoubtadly the worst album from the band.
		Stone Temple Pilot's Core was one of the first cds I ever bought, and has remained a favorite of mine for more than ten years now, although I would say without question their masterpiece is Purple, one of the best albums of the '90s.

		Thank You is an amazing listen chronicling what happens when a rock band bends the rules to make some noise.
		Their first album had them billed as a Pearl Jam/Nirvana rip off...luckily for STP they came out with their second album Purple that silenced all the critics with a sound of their own.
		I wished that Stone Temple Pilots never broke up because they were such n amazing band and they had so many fans around the world that loved them so much.

		Whilst the official word is that the Stone Temple Pilots are still a going concern this CD has an air of finality to it what with Scott Weiland hooking up with the former members of Guns 'n' Roses in Velvet Revolver.
		The material contained on this CD is a fairly broad sweep over the Stone Temple Pilots back catalogue and listening to the early material through to the more recent stuff it is amazing how this band have grown musically.
		The Stone Temple Pilots came out at a time when the world came out of Seattle and unless you came from that particular neck of the woods it was an uphill struggle trying to be noticed.

		With their 1992 debut release Core, Stone Temple Pilots were bashed by critics for being a "Pearl Jam-ripoff." While those comparisons were proven time and again to be erroneous by BOTH bands, it is perhaps ironic that out of the bands that broke big from 1991-1993, only PJ and STP survived past the year 2000.
		Thank You comes in two forms; you can buy just the CD of the hits which also includes the new song All in the Suit That You Wear, or you can pick up what I am reviewing, a CD/DVD combo pack.
		For album #5, Shangri La Dee Da, the band only picked the first single, Days of the Week, not surprising given the fact it's their worst seller commercially.

		If you have fond memories of Stone Temple Pilots or 90's rock in general, this is worth buying.
		5 stars is my own way of saying thank you, but it is not just sentimental, the only album in the short career that wasn't great was Tiny Music, but the quote "Trippin" made up for it.
		I don't like revolver, it's not evolution for Weiland and I can't imagine him being happy there, it steps back and all I ever hoped was that someday this band, STP, would reign supreme and been given the praise and adulation they deserve.

		I stayed with them through the course and saw the unique beauty in each of their albums as they matured.
		Sadly though, in time, I began to feel hard-pressed to find others that were keeping tabs on STP after Tiny Music, when I really started to feel as though they had come into their own.
		Don’t Lord Helmet… BTW the name rocks… I remember that I used to listen to Plush day in and day out until it drove my mother insane… That first STP album was truly wicked… Can’t say that I followed them beyond that, but Core totally kicked ass and always will.

		I have always been a fan of Stone Temple Pilots' music, so obvious when an album composed of the best of the best comes out, I'm going to want it.
		There was not one disappointment in the whole album, rather than the fact that eventually it had to come to an end :-(The album includes their hits such as Plush, Interstate Love Song, and my personal favorite Sour Girl.
		If there is one must-have album of 2004, I would definitely have to nominate "Thank You" for that one!
