The Bowlers said they had felt isolated during their stay as a 1900 family, and so the American project will bring together a group of families to move to the frontier, build homes, develop the land and survive as a group, which is they way most settlers traveled.

 energy-efficient pyramid house plans
A pyramid structure is one of the most efficient, stable engineering designs for commercial or residential building construction.
Because there is no separate roof, as the walls serve as the roof, a pyramid house design uses approximately 20% less material in construction compared to a conventional home with the same area in square feet.
Due to the differences in building codes nationally and internationally these plans may have to be modified by a local Architect, Engineer or Building Designer to meet the building code design requirements in the area where the house will be built.

Opera House: Will final curtain fall in Litchfield?
Opera houses symbolized cultural, social and political institutions, and often were more elaborate than the school gymnasiums and church basements that replaced them, Roth said.
The Litchfield Opera House "represents what people did in an earlier period, when entertainment was less sophisticated and live, and people weren't home watching movies on TV," she said.
Those shows didn't happen, she said, but the building was where farm families organized one of the first rural electric cooperatives under the New Deal, military recruiting and training took place and pretty much "everything significant in the history of the city" happened.
