The use of the word "amber" in their band title and the needless use of the Latin version of "fate" in the album title (at least they didn't use "parcæ" for the added goth effect), didn't get the band off to a good start, in my view.
A quick check of their website before I listened to their music, revealed that not only do they keep a band LiveJournal, but they cheerfully describe themselves as "Dark Alternative Pop/Gothic/Ethereal Rock".
The good news for them is that they've got the "creating lush, beautiful backdrops for their songs" part down pat, which is half the battle in this style of music.
