		During this time, The Apex Theory was receiving multiple calls a day from record labels, and the band was recognizing that their small unit, that they were comfortable with for the time being, was beginning to catch on and wouldn't be staying small for very much longer.
		The Apex Theory, always welcome to their fans, were surprised, and it was evident by the looks on their faces as they recounted the incident.
		The Apex Theory believe that there is always room for their music and also know that they have the motivation to want to make their music outlast many of the other sensations currently oversaturating the music scene during this time.

		After one audition, Watson made the Apex Theory official in 1999, allowing the band to build a name around their infectious live shows in and around West Hollywood.
		DreamWorks won them over, however, and the Apex Theory landed a deal in early 2001 and producer Don Gilmore (Linkin Park, Pearl Jam, Sugar Ray) signed on for their first proper EP, a self-titled effort issued later that year.
		A main-stage gig with Vans' Warped Tour established the Apex Theory's name among the ever-changing alt-metal/post-grunge reign, for their "heavy Mediterranean groove," a phrase coined by the band describing their music, was catching on.

		For three members of The Apex Theory, it was part of their childhood.
		Singer Andy Khachaturian, guitarist Art Karamian and bassist David Hakopyan are all of Armenian descent, and though drummer Sammy Watson doesn't have that lineage, he's a integral part of the multicultural influence that's found on the Los Angeles-based rock group's debut
		Khachaturian has a lot of respect for bands like Led Zeppelin and Jane's Addiction, but he says The Apex Theory's diverse sound is genuine.

		Anyway, I have to admit that Apex Theory is about a zillion times better than Linkin Park, a trillion times better than Disturbed, P.O.D., Puddle Of Mudd, Papa Roach, and System of a Down, and many times better than Vanilla Ice's Hard To Swallow.
		Apex Theory is a much more ambitious band than the majority of your nu-metallers.
		The rest of the album is along said lines, wandering in and out of math rock, but focusing on "rock" the entire time.
