		The song was released in the U.S. on April 19, 1965, reaching #1 for 1 week on May 22, 1965.
		Released on October 31, 1969 in the U.K., and on October 6 in the U.S. It reached #1 for 1 week in the U.S. on November 29, 1969.

		As a collection 1 is a fine introduction to the band although those that buy this (the Red and Blue albums despite their flaws are a better introduction) may wonder what all the fuss was about.
		Listening to 1 is very much akin to scanning the night skies with a telescope while you may get a sharper more focused look at one particularly object you also manage to miss the majesty of the heavens.
