  The Big Story: Mission
The way that media covers a big story can have as much influence as the event itself.
Our mission is to serve people passionately involved in media with a journal that analyzes the coverage of one big story that has lingered in the headlines and our thoughts.
Our goal is to further the understanding of the intricate and interdependent relationships among the big story, its characters, its coverage and the impact of the media on society.

  Big Fish Story
He then tried to assure Brian that there was no shame in passing the rod off and that this is one fish we did not want to lose.
This big fish made the cockpit look awfully small and with his flopping around, things were even a bit dangerous.
I've read that the fish are not as big or plentiful as they once were, but if you're lucky enough to catch a good sized fish, you'll never forget it.

Big Horn is the magical creation of Hyler Bracey, Ph.D. A significant part of Hyler’s story begins with a freak accident in 1970 while racing on a NASCAR short track in Mobile, Alabama.

Dynamist Blog: THE BIG (ECONOMIC) STORY
This story of positive structural changes in the American economy — the very rapid growth of potential output — is the big story about the economy during the past four years.
The story explains that too, or tries to without using any math, graphs, or jargon about optimizing subject to constraints or finding interior solutions.
Indeed, as many of my NYT columns illustrate, I think there's an even larger story to be told, one that includes not just the measured productivity gains of the past few years but enormous unmeasured gains in (to use the econ jargon) consumer surplus going back further.

Big Stick penned the title track for "The Devil's Jukebox", a very nifty 7" box-set collection that included rare treasures from Big Stick and other artists from the Blast First Record's roster.
Big Stick continued to release successful "alternative" (for lack of a better word) releases through the 90's.
Big Stick has toured England and Europe, and has done sporadic gigs in the U.S., including a stateside tour a couple years ago with My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult and guest record jockey Traci Lords.

 Covering the Big, Breaking Story
It's always better to send several good reporters and photographers to a story that doesn't quite pan out than to send too few staff members to a huge story or, worse yet, to try to handle the big story solely by telephone.
When the big story is a long way from your office, double-team it, dispatching some reporters immediately while others start reporting by telephone.
Check data online that might provide facts for the story or might show whether officials had warnings about this problem or how widespread the problem is. You want to be able to document a trend or say if this incident is the first, worst or deadliest.

A rash of ideologues rose up to lasso big ratings on Fox News, proving that objective journalism isn't nearly as entertaining as good ol' fashioned punditry.
Maybe the big media story in 2008 will be that every delegate will have his or her own reality show, streamed over the Internet.

Today, the Sunday Times of London reports that the Italian middle-man who provided the notorious Niger uranium documents to Italian journalist Elizabetta Burba (she later brought them to the US Embassy in Rome, you’ll remember) was himself given the documents by the Italian military intelligence service, SISMI.
The story also suggested that the 'security consultant' was himself the likely forger of the documents and that this 'scam' had only served to obscure the real evidence of the sale of uranium to Iraq.

The Financial Times story said that he “had a record of extortion and deception and had been convicted by a Rome court in 1985 and later arrested at least twice.” Several of the particulars here are incorrect.

Instead He lets the bible be what it is meant to be: the unfolding and often messy story of the creator's plan to rescue this rebellious world and bring it back under the rule of it's rightful king.
Much care was taken to use the whole theme of the Bible to explain the "big picture" of God's plan of salvation - not just choppy stories that are hard for a child (they were for me as a kid) to put together to make sense of what God has done/is doing in the world.
This is the first story Bible I have seen that brings the whole Bible together into one "big story" instead of lots of separate ones.
