The Blessed Hellride - Zakk Wylde, let me explain something: titles to songs are supposed to give the listener some expectation as to what the song is going to be like.
Therefore, when you title a song “The Blessed Hellride,” you do NOT MAKE IT A BORING BLUES BALLAD.

 siN's metal news \m/
When the last song (if you don't count "America The Beautiful") on 1919 Eternal spouts off lines like "Drinkin' booze and raisin' rifles.", and the first song on The Blessed Hellride is called "Stoned And Drunk", you know the man appreciates a good brew now and then.
But as "The Blessed Hellride" proves, Zakk is once again up to the task of proving any remaining skeptics wrong.
And with Zakk and Co. maintaining their status as having never released a bad album, one thinks this makes the pressure to put out top notch work even greater.

While it is nothing really new, "The Blessed Hellride" proves to be their best yet, by taking the songwriting from "1919 Eternal" and the production of "Stronger Than Death" and creating one of the first solid rock/metal albums of 2003...
Blessed Hellride was the first Black Label Society album I ever got, and it just kicks ass from beginning to end.
The Blessed Hellride finds former Ozzy Osbourne's guitarist and Black Label Society frontman Zakk Wylde playing all instruments bar the drums, yet retaining an intensity that Osbourne has sadly lacked for some years.

The Blessed Hellride is by no means a metal must, but for fans of Wylde there’s enough here to satisfy.
Let’s face it, Wylde is a guitarist first and foremost, and there’s no denying The Blessed Hellride is primarily a vehicle for his superb metal playing.
That’s not to say there aren’t a couple of great tracks here: Stillborn, which features Oz on guest vocals, is a typically ominous Osbourne burner with a chugging, monster riff; We Live No More is a right solid rock song; and Dead Meadow is a nice, slow tempo album-ender.

 Black Label Society No. 15 - News @ Ultimate-Guitar.Com
Right now, The Blessed Hellride is the only BLS I have.
Mafia is a ***ing good album i think that 1919 eternal and the blessed hell ride is better though even though mafia has my favorite song "fire it up.
I'm gonna get this when I go to pick up 1919 Eternal.

"Blessed Hellride" and "Dead Meadow" sound like they would be on Book of Shadows..

The albums title track The Blessed Hellride, from title alone would lead one to assume the speakers were about to be blown through the walls, but the contrary is true, the song kicks off with an acoustic guitar, and has a nice country meets southern rock sound.
The Blessed Hellride is the fourth studio album from Zakk Wylde’s Black Label Society.
To no ones surprise, this album rocks right along with the previous 3 albums, while still establishing a BLS movement toward what is southern heavy metal.

:: Online Grind Version 3.0 CD Reviews::
The title track of the album, "The Blessed Hellride", follows in the hillbilly acoustic metal tradition of other soft tracks in BLS history, not bad, but it leans a little to close to Pride and Glory for my tastes.
The only song on the album to involve an acoustic guitar.
The album definatly brings up the decibles and gives you a good kick in the ass on the grinding "Doomsday Jesus", Zakk whips out his trademark squeals on the equally punishing "Suffering Overdue", and even belts out a nice melodic solo on the none the less metal "Final Solution".

 Musician Forums - BLS Mafia!
its not as good as 1919 eternal, Stronger than Death, or Blessed Hellride, but its very good none the less.
Apart from the one song where Zakk - once again, for some reason
As for Mafia, I've only heard the clips they've got on amazon, but from what I've heard, I think its his first really good album since 1919 (TBHR was alright, but not great, and Hangover just flat out sucked).
