The Mighty Boosh - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Mighty Boosh is a British cult comedy which has taken on several incarnations as a series of stage shows, a BBC radio series and a BBC Three TV series.
In 2006, "the Boosh" recommenced their live stage show with a sell-out UK tour culminating in two extra dates at the Brixton Academy, South London.
The Boosh were "signed" by the BBC soon after the success of Autoboosh and in October 2001 The Mighty Boosh radio series, produced by Danny Wallace, was first broadcast on BBC London Live, then BBC Radio 4, and later BBC 7.

He firmly believes that Vince is a woman, a misconception shared by many minor Boosh characters (one of the recurring jokes of the show).

BOOSH is musical back-to-basics and a word or two for good measure; fresh out of the gate, way past hip (and its evil spectre: cynicism).
BOOSH is a band of minstrels, sages, and fools bound together by such dreams as things are made of.
Alternately right on target and altogether beside the point, BOOSH is better off on; adamantly tolerant of taste and resolutely eclectic, BOOSH is a bucketful of this and that, clever and guileless by turns and quite possibly bonkers for the duration.

Since its television debut in early 2004 'The Mighty Boosh' has never received the true recognition and acclaim it deserves, due mainly, in my opinion to the terrible graveyard time slots it was given when broadcast.

What this produces is a work of surprising charm and innocence (the 15 certificate, incidentally, is the result of a couple of ‘f’ words during the outtakes included amongst the special features) and one which is more likely to find favour with fans of The Goodies than it is those of, say, Nighty Night.
Of course, what this means is that the series is wholly dependent on the hit-to-miss ratio of the comedy and, as said, that is likely to be down to the individual.
Indeed, owing to the complete lack of technical flaws or print/soundtrack damage, The Mighty Boosh on disc is easily the equal of, perhaps even superior to, its TV incarnation.
