  The Brave Little Tailor
The Grimms' "The Brave Little Tailor" is a trickster tale, but unlike some of the tricksters in other folk tales, the tailor is not malevolent.
Rather, he is a kind of a cultural hero, representing the "little guy" who succeeds against oppressive force by using his wits - both to defeat the physically more powerful giants and to outwit the socially superior king and his courtiers.
At first, the tailor appears puffed up by ego, boasting of what is a fairly inconsequential deed - the slaying of seven flies with a single swat.
