Britt Allcroft is the founder of The Britt Allcroft Company (aka, Gullane Entertainment) which was acquired by Hit Entertainment in 2002.
Allcroft is well known for her creation of the children's television series Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends and its US counterpart Shining Time Station.
After the movie was poorly received by critics and foundered at the box office; Allcroft was ousted from Gullane in May, 2000 but remained as a director and advisor.
