Heston also starred in various science fiction films and disaster films, some of which, like Planet of the Apes, Soylent Green, Earthquake and The Omega Man, were hugely successful at the time of their release and have since become cult classics.
In the film, he plays an elderly, dying ape who introduces arms to his species by giving a rifle to another of the planet's inhabitants, perhaps as a nod to his then-current role in the National Rifle Association.
Charlton Heston is the chairman and co-founder of Agamemnon Films.

By the time he went to Hollywood to act in William Dieterle's moody film noir DARK CITY (1950) Heston was already a star, indeed was listed in the credits over the more established Lizabeth Scott.
With his role as the ill-tempered circus manager in his second film, Cecil B. DeMille's THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH (1952), Heston began his reign as the actor of choice for Hollywood epics.
He served as president of the Screen Actors Guild from 1966 to 1971 and later became chairman of the American Film Institute.

We have about sixty or so original movie posters that were used in theaters to advertise coming films, most are from the 1970's and most are in excellent condition.
We have various prices depending on the film and the actors who starred in them.
This soft cover book has 413 pages and measures 8 1/8" x 10" and the over-all condition is good but with scuffing and does show wear, also has water buckling and some color bleeding.
