With their first CD yet to be released The Choirboys are already being widely regarded as a mould-breaking boy band, combining the popular sensibility of many of their predecessors with an astounding command of vocal technique and musical gravitas.
Band members Ben Inman, Patrick Aspbury (both aged 12) and CJ Porter-Thaw (soon to be 11) have many things in common, not least that they are among the very best treble voices the UK currently has to offer and all three sing in two of the most esteemed choirs in the country.
Yet these boys are modern choirboys, indeed are modern children with the same likes and dislikes and the same pursuits as all their peers.

"The Talmud Society" - A memoir of Keidan
Reb Bertsik and his choirboys had sung until late in the night, and only the klezmorim were missing from the party.
The band had hardly begun to play when everyone realized the danger in allowing such a noisy band as this one to play in the middle of the night.
After a long deliberation it was decided: the band leader should be invited to the table for some refreshment, and his half-asleep musicians -- after each had received a drink, a snack and a few coins cigarette money -- were thanked for not playing and sent home to their barracks.

The story is a tragicomic look at the on- and off-duty exploits of a group of policemen in Los Angeles' Rampart District who conduct unauthorized end-of-watch meetings or "choir practice" sessions in MacArthur Park, one of which ends with the accidental shooting of a young park transient.
