The Clouds was also the name of a popular Australian indie rock band and a British indie pop band.
After demonstrating a few of his patently absurd "discoveries" (for instance, the legspan of a flea, or the reason why flies fart) the great philosopher explains to him that the god "Vortex" has replaced Zeus, and that the Clouds (a chorus of insubstantial heavenly creatures) are the true arbiters of learning.
However, the references to the play that Socrates made during his trial suggest that he was not greatly offended by the Clouds (he is reported to have obligingly stood for the audience and waved at close of the play's first performance).

Although it is true that cloud changes between the first and last photographs could reasonably be expected to be greater than those between any other pair, there is a limit to how long the elapsed interval can be whilst remaining consistent with the testimony.
Therefore, if the difference in cloud structure is incompatible with changes that might occur within a short interval of time then the pictures must have been taken at the same solar time on two different days.
Given the nature of cloud patterns in general, and the fact that P4 in particular shows internal evidence of strong winds at altitude, an exact identification of common features in P1 and P4 is perhaps not realistic.

The Clouds (Nephelai) is a comedy written by the Ancient Greek playwright Aristophanes lampooning the sophists and the intellectual trends of late fifth-century Athens.
The play opens with the farmer Strepsiades (whose name means "twister") bemoaning the horse addiction of his son Pheidippides which has put him into deep debt.
Pheidippides agrees to study the new logic at the Thinkery, and Strepsiades learns that the Clouds never existed in the first place.
