This collection is a good record of his craft and talent, so put it in the player and appreciate an underrated master at work.
Poor Nik was swept away with the other 80s artists and has been overlooked ever since.
He has produced albums of a high standard musically and lyrically since he first hit big.He is an excellent guitarist and arranger and this collection shows his talents.
The new album will be a collection of new and old songs and will be TV Advertised, plus Universal will be promoting Nik in a way we could only have dreamed of when we were signed to Eagle Records (god bless'em).
Nik has agreed to perform on the 'Here and Now Tour' that goes out in December this year.
I think the new Universal album will be of at least 18 tracks, some brand new songs, some of the huge hits, some of Eagles tracks, and some that were written for Elton, Oxygen etc....
This new Kershaw compilation follows some eighteen months after the "official" full-price Kershawcollection was released (and sank without trace) and, as so often seems to be the case with very-budget compilations, it's definitely a superior release.
Whether all of Kershaw's four albums are represented is difficult to say - I'm not a huge Kershaw fan and thus don't have any track listings memorised, while the sleevenotes are minimal - but all the big hits are here, from an excellent extended version of
