  the crow (1994) film cell
The film crew was placed on hiatus, and the film was reworked to be less violent.
Film cells are strips of 35mm film from the movie which are framed together with a photograph or a movie postcard.
Each film cell is unique, so the film supplied may be different to the one pictured, however we do not use unrecognisable street scenes, long shots or minor characters unlike some other suppliers.

The Crow (film) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Crow is a 1994 film adaptation of James O'Barr's comic book of the same name (see The Crow).
One year later, he is resurrected by a crow and seeks out vengeance on his murderers, killing them one at a time.
Later films' soundtracks were less successful, despite also having famous artists (including Iggy Pop, PJ Harvey, the Deftones and Hole) on them.

The Crow - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Crow acts as a guide and goad for Eric, giving him information that helps him in his quest but also chastising him for dwelling on Shelly's death, seeing his pining as useless self-indulgence that distracts him from his purpose.
The Crow: Shattered Lives and Broken Dreams was released by Random House on Halloween, and a year later, in a limited signed and numbered volume, by Donald M. Grant Publishing.
The original film was remade as Wings of the Crow in 2000, with a female version of The Crow.

 The Crow
A water/death association is suggested in the film, as water is frequently involved in the ritualistic killings, by Eric, of the gang of thugs.
The film indulges in a moment of reflexivity when Shelly finally appears to Eric at the end of the film, a soft silhouette with a halo of light who emerges slowly from darkness to face the camera - immediately recalling a similar scene in both Hitchcock's Vertigo and Lynch's Blue Velvet.
As she holds the crow before Eric, ready to extinguish his life, he suddenly returns her gaze and the crow spontaneously flies at her face and pecks out her eyes, causing her to fall to her death.

DVD Review: The Crow: Special Edition
The film's world of dark streets and moody visuals is nothing that hasn't been done before, or after for that matter("Strange Days"), but "The Crow" is almost stunning in the detail of the look that it tries to accomplish.
This first film, although now 7 years old, provides a pretty excellent sound experience that, although I may be alone on this opinion, is a bit more enjoyable and entertaining than the other two films and rivals some new action films.
The film was also adapted from the comic book, so the two occasionally discuss the differences between the comic and the final film.

The film broke new ground in the genre of comic book adaptations, and was able to mix dark imagery with an exciting story, along with a pounding industrial soundtrack.
The film basically asks the question, "If you came back from the dead, what would you do?" On top of this very philosophical query, we have an exciting action/horror film, in which Brandon Lee was able to show off his physical talents, as well as his growing acting skills.
The film is presented in an anamorphic widescreen and is letterboxed at 1.85:1.

 TNMC Reviews:
Looking at the original film, one cannot deny that the plot was simple, with Eric Draven (Brandon Lee in his last, and by far his best, performance) coming back from the dead to exact revenge on his true love's rapists and murderers.
The film was a bust, is near the top of my personal list for the worst films of the last ten years, but does feature the best performance to date by Iggy Pop.
Brandon Lee's Crow was a loving and strong character whose strength and love led him to violence, but he also recognized the little bit of madness that comes from being placed in the unusual position of reincarnation.

The Crow works hard to be countercultural and different, and ends up replaying conventions other films used to reach the same ends, but it still comes across as its own entity--an original work.
