Sheryl Crow's music has long reflected the musical infatuations that moved her while she was growing up in Kennett, Missouri.
With the release of her newest album, C'mon, C'mon, Sheryl Crow continues to explore her passion for singing and songwriting.
Crow explains that she yearned to make an album "in the flavor of '70s and '80s classic rock - when rock songs were songs that were crafted, that you could sing; songs that were the soundtrack to your summer - songs that were committed to rock."

Compare Prices and Read Reviews on The Crow - Original Soundtrack at Epinions.com
For some people, it is certainly too loud and too depressing but in the overall scheme of things the soundtrack represents a good rundown of artists of the era that may or may not otherwise be known.
No one band makes owning this album necessary; rather it is an amalgamation of all fourteen included acts that truly pushes this disc over the edge into the flest corners of greatness.
The Crow is a great movie unto itself, but without the help of fourteen bands and artists this wouldn’t have been possible.

 The Unreleased Album
The Sheryl Crow album was slated to be released on September 22, 1992, and a press folder (with a photo and a press release) was prepared, in anticipation of releasing the tape for general DJ distribution, as a promo, so that the LP could receive radio play.
Although Crow has had a hugely successful career recording and touring with artists as varied as Joe Cocker, Stevie Wonder, Bruce Hornsby and Bonnie Raitt, the songs on SHERYL CROW were written when her career had reached a temporary impasse and her personal life was at a low.
It does, though, state that the album was recorded in 1990 (wrong), and implies that LLV is a studio cut (false advertising being a long standing tradition amongst bootleggers and pirates).

Devendra Banhart - Cripple Crow (Album Review)
While the lo-fi realm of indie rock has churned out more than its share of exceedingly dull drivel, it also has revived the notions that the creation of art need not happen in an insular world and that it frequently fares better when it is interactively assembled in an organic fashion.
On the opening Now that I Know, for example, he cops Buckley’s Robert Plant-isms perfectly, while on Lazy Butterfly, he embraces the mysterious, Eastern mysticism of Donovan’s psychedelic etchings.
Nevertheless, the other problem that frequently plagues indie projects — that is the lack of any semblance of self-control — raises its ugly head on the outing, and unfortunately, it keeps a good album from becoming a great one.

And the most important fact that made this improvement possible was the Steve Howe's imcorporation, who is one of the best progressive guitarist of the 70's, along with Steve Hackett and Robert Fripp in my opinion.

Review: Based on the hit comic book about a man who returns from the dead to avenge his killers, the film adaptation of The Crow suffered a cruel irony when star Brandon Lee (son of martial arts superstar Bruce Lee) died during production after a bizarre onset accident.
That event only deepened the film's aura of death and gothic unease, moods that are brilliantly underscored by this well-chosen collection of stark alt rock, dark metal, and industrial dirges.
So-called pop-song scores often have a cheap afterthought feel to them; this one, a refreshingly integral part of the film itself, stands as a great album in its own right.
