		The band was originally formed back in 1990 as a primitive garage act and made their first public appearance on a local compilation CD in 1992.
		The band had now grown into better songwriters and musicians and the result was a very brutal, intense and evil Death Metal sound but with a lot more feeling and melody to it.
		Crowned In Terror was heavily praised by both the media and fans as being one of the best releases of the year gaining the band the cover feature of Metal Maniacs.

		The idea for the Crown Jewel Festival was originated in the Fall of 1981 during conversations between James Sammons and Gordon Popple, Assistant Principal and soon to be Coordinator of Community and Adult Education for the Indian River Co. School District.
		They felt that our band students should be exposed to as many quality bands during the year as possible to serve as role models for the further development of what was at that time a very underdeveloped VBHS Band (less than 100).
		The band had just returned from observing a festival in Winterhaven and had witnessed some great groups so the idea was that if they could develop a festival in that area that we could do the same as we had similar facilities.

		This Swedish band was formed in 1990 and recorded two albums in the mid nineties under the name Crown Of Thorns, before legal pressure from a Christian band of the same name forced the name change to just The Crown.
		Now five albums in, the style here is a frantic, ferocious blend of thrash, death, punk, and a bit of Motorhead, with the latter two influences in particular giving the later albums a death rock feel not unlike a faster version of latter-period Entombed.
		The band decided to call it quits in March of 2004, with the major reason being a disinterest in continuing to fight poor touring conditions and lack of income from playing.
